Minister Persaud Highlights Guyana’s Digital Social Protection Journey

On Tuesday morning, Minister Vindhya Persaud participated in a Webinar hosted by Synergy Inc to speak on Guyana’s digitalisation of the social protection systems to improve efficiency and comprehensively address vulnerable and key populations.

She explained what has been happening over 1 year to collect data, compile beneficiaries data registry, the challenges and the progress, and how this will impact on a more digital-based service system.

She was joined by technical expert Lilith Gasparayn of Synergy and Rebecca Geer of the MHSSS, who walked viewers through the new system.
